El Tapatio in Vancouver

Smells a little wierd. It's not worth it for your buck at all.

My boyfriend and I got Food Poisoning. With diagnosis from doctor they said they didn"t believe us. He works all day and I was at home. Only common food and we were both fine before eating here. Don't believe them when they say you won't get sick eating here.

Good food and good service. Great margarita of many flavors. And the BEST chips & salsa in town. Worth going just for that.

Way over priced for what it is. It was $42 for a kids meal, a bland burrito, kids lemonade and 2 margaritas. We won't be coming back.

When I walked in the man that seated me acted like it was putting him out. He dropped the menu on the table....My meal was ok, but I feel like the price was high. Won't return and it was my first time there. Disappointed

This place was great. We were a little wary due to the 3 star rating but it was very close to our house so we gave it a shot. I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. Good atmosphere. Plenty of booths (I love booths). They provided free chips and salsa, which were delicious. When we demolished the salsa, they immediately brought more. I had horchata, which is hit or miss, some restaurants do it really well and some don't. This was good. I ordered the #17, Enchilada, Tamale, and Chile relleno. The food came surprisingly quickly and it was all super tasty. The waiter was extremely nice and polite. All in all, it was very satisfying experience. I would recommend it, and I will definitely be returning.

My best friend and I would always come here and have lunch dates. The staff is super friendly and the portions are huge.

No drink refills, child order didnt get ordered, another persons burrito was made wrong, and my friends fish taco tasted like tuna rather than white fish. Not a good visit!

Love the place used to go to the Salmon Creek branch, and have been to this one in the past as well with family, if you want real genuine good quality Mexican food come here. Great customer service our waiter was awesome maybe include some nametags though?? I personally like a place that you can great your waiter or someone giving you customer service because it makes it more personable on both sides. This time around I got Chicken en Mole asked for it to be spicy, which was 🔥🔥🔥, and my fiance got the Nachos, will definitely love recommend to family members and friends. I love this place and I love supporting local resteraunts especially if their top notch.

The food here is good. I'm not Mexican, so maybe my palate needs adjusting. But every time I've come here (about four or five times), the food has been to my liking. And I like the chips and salsa, although they are nothing to write home about.The interior is clean and the atmosphere is festive. I can't say for sure because I haven't been to Mexico in quite some time (like 40 years), but it sure feels like I'm in Mexico once I get inside. The building is dated, but even so, the bathrooms are nice and clean, albeit very small. And for the life of me, I could not find the light switch. And the door kept shutting on me leaving me in the pitch black.Service was excellent. We didn't even have to wait five minutes for meals. And our waiter was very attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I even forgot my take-home box and somebody ran it out to the car.Overall I recommend El Tapitio.

Good staff. Horrible food. Best to go across the street to Muchas Gracias. Save a lot of money by going to MG.Tostada was plain with no flavor. See picture. Lettuce galore! Wet chicken on a corn tortilla and some refried beans. A single thin tomato slice on top. I think the chicken was from a can like the canned chicken from Costco. Nachos were ok. MG has better nachos for $3 less.

Friendly service, large portions...all "yellow" cheese in my dish, tamale, enchilada, chili relleno...taste was ok but not much variety to it.

Great food and friendly service. Family owned and they take pride in their restaurant. The chips and salsa are great and you get large portions of food.

The portion sizes are HUGE, so expect leftovers. It is a busy restaurant and I can see why because the food is delicious. I am new to the area, but their food is really good and I highly recommend it. It is as close to authentic Mexican food as you can get. The servers are nice, however they look worn thin and understaff for the amount of customers they get. Maybe it is because I came in on a busy Saturday night.

Whenever I'm anywhere near this place I try and stop in. I think the food is excellant and they have a large menu with a lot of variety. Their lunch menu has lots of options at a reasonable prices.

Decent food for decent prices. This is not gourmet but you get all the standard type Mexican food. Huge portions so good value for your money. Drinks are varied and enjoyable. I come here when it just needs to be no frill food.

My husband and I used to go here years ago when we lived nearby. We were in the area recently and stopped in for dinner. The food was delicious - they still have the best fajitas, good serving sizes, good atmosphere and great service! Love this place!

We got food poisoning. Staff would not come to speak with us for a long time. Don't eat here! With medical documentation my girlfriend and I were told that they didn't believe us. I was at work all day (Federal Government) she was at home. We were fine before we ate here. Only common food. I don't believe then that they are clean and follow safe practices.

I have been eating here for over twenty years, since I was a young girl. Every time I feel welcomed and like family. Their food is always good, their margaritas strong, and always so sweet. Their enchiladas are a comfort go to. Definitely worth it.

Very nice place. The music is low in the background so you can actually have a conversation with your dinner partners. Friendly staff and good food make this a family favorite.

Great variety of food. Excellent staff, always friendly and fast. If you like strong drinks, this may be your place. They are very accommodating for special sides or changes off the menu, which is filled with a large variety. They offer different lunch and dinner specials daily. Thumbs up for one of my favorite restaurants. They have single restrooms, in other words, one at a time.Parking can be a problem if you are towing a trailer, they share the lot with stores and a gas station.
